Dr. Michael Martinez grew up in Southern California and earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Colorado State University. While he enjoyed his time in Colorado, he was excited to return home and join the team at VCA West Los Angeles, where he can continue his training while serving the community that helped shape him.
Dr. Martinez is passionate about collaborative veterinary medicine and looks forward to working alongside the hospital's specialists and experienced veterinarians to provide comprehensive, high-quality care for his patients. He values the team-based approach to medicine and is excited to contribute to the exceptional care VCA West Los Angeles provides to pets and their families.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Martinez enjoys spending time with his four pets: two cats, Chikis and Tomás, and two dogs, Mila and Canela. A fun fact about his family is that both of his dogs are rescue pets from Colombia, making them especially meaningful members of the household.
