Dr. Rachel Burke earned her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Davis, before obtaining her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Western University of Health Sciences. Originally from Camarillo in Ventura County, California, she is passionate about helping animals while continuing to explore the many facets of veterinary medicine.
Dr. Burke's professional interests include neurology, shelter medicine, general practice, and emergency medicine. She is excited to further develop her clinical skills and discover where her veterinary career path will lead.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Burke enjoys staying active through running, hiking, diving, and rollerblading. She also loves reading and caring for her plants. A dedicated endurance athlete, she has competed in a triathlon and hopes to participate in more events after completing her internship and residency training. At home, she is kept company by her two black domestic shorthair cats, Lydia and Mavis.
