Dr. Timothy Young grew up in Southern California and earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Western University of Health Sciences. After veterinary school, he spent two years practicing overnight emergency medicine in Glendora, where he developed a strong foundation in managing critical and emergent cases. He then completed a rotating internship before pursuing advanced specialty training through an Emergency and Critical Care residency at VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital.
Dr. Young is passionate about emergency and critical care medicine and enjoys helping pets and their families through some of the most challenging moments of their lives. His experience in both emergency practice and specialty training has provided him with extensive experience in the diagnosis and management of complex, critically ill patients.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Young enjoys hiking Southern California's scenic trails and playing pickleball. He shares his home with Basil, a golden retriever, and two domestic shorthair cats, Lana and Dexter, who keep life entertaining and full of personality.
