Dr. Kevin Gooch is originally from Southern California and is happy to be back in the place he calls home. He earned his veterinary degree from Western University of Health Sciences before completing his residency in small animal internal medicine at Colorado State University. His professional interests include liver and biliary disease, particularly the diagnosis and management of chronic hepatitis, as well as immune-mediated disease and kidney disease.
Outside of work, Dr. Gooch shares his home with his family, two dogs, and two cats. His dogs, Hoover and Swiffer, live up to their names by helping clean up after his toddler, while his cats, Tibby and Porter, prefer sunbathing and chasing shadows.
Dr. Gooch enjoys the breadth of internal medicine and takes a whole-patient approach, considering how different body systems interact to guide diagnosis and treatment. Dr. Gooch enjoys working in a teaching hospital, where he can share his enthusiasm for internal medicine with interns and residents. Lucky clients may also witness this enthusiasm firsthand through a questionably drawn but well-intended whiteboard diagram.
