Katherine Glusac

Associate Veterinarian

DVM

Dr. Katherine Glusac was born and raised in Los Angeles and discovered her passion for veterinary medicine at an early age. She began working at El Segundo Animal Hospital when she was just 15 years old, gaining hands-on experience that inspired her to pursue a career caring for animals.

Dr. Glusac earned her Bachelor of Science in Zoology from Washington State University before returning to Los Angeles to work as an emergency and intensive care registered veterinary technician (ER/ICU RVT). She went on to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts and completed her clinical training at Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in Massachusetts.

Her professional interests include emergency and critical care medicine, and she is passionate about providing compassionate, high-quality care while partnering with pet owners to navigate some of their pets' most challenging medical moments. Dr. Glusac values clear communication and strives to help families make informed decisions about their pets' care.

Outside of the hospital, she enjoys hiking, backpacking, and planning themed parties with friends. She also shares her home with Bug, a former feral island cat from St. Kitts who decided to domesticate himself during her time at Ross University and has been her loyal companion ever since.
