Dr. Miho Kumamoto obtained her Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery degree from the University of Glasgow in Scotland. After graduation, she completed a rotating internship at a busy referral hospital in Toronto, Canada. She then worked as an emergency veterinarian for a year, during which she found her passion for emergency and critical care. Dr. Kumamoto completed an Emergency and Critical Care residency in Vancouver, Canada, and subsequently obtained her Diplomate status as a board-certified Criticalist.
Dr. Kumamoto has particular interests in sepsis, ventilation, electrolytes and fluid resuscitation. She is passionate about providing the best chance and standard of care for the sickest pets.
Outside of work, Dr. Kumamoto enjoys hiking, dancing, travelling, and spending time outdoors. She has a small fluffy miniature poodle at home who loves to go on adventures. Dr. Kumamoto is very excited to be in sunny Southern California.
